Rwanda has stolen my heart. Africa has impacted my life in a crazy way.
Throughout the month we have taken to using the phrase, "T.I.A."
Which means This is Africa.
Here are a few of those moments.
Being blessed by an incredible contact.
Pastor Fatier

Walking 8 miles (altogether) to and from church everyday.

Chasing Baby V around the house to retrieve whatever she’s confiscated.

Falling asleep under a bug net and pretending you’re a princess.

Sharing your story with a group of widows and watching their faces light up.

Slinging mud at the walls of the church alongside its members.

Watching a ton of tiny hands shoot up and appreciating God’s craftsmanship.

Watching your heart grow more than you even knew it could.

Realizing just how small you are looking over the plains.

Adjusting to the ways of the people and the Bucket Shower.

Resisting the urge to pick up every child you see.

Enjoying each moment, knowing it’s once in a lifetime.

Running around the yard and remembering what its like to be a child.

Singing at the top of your lungs in a language you don’t understand.
Falling in love with people you may never see again.
Trusting that God is going to take care of his children better than you can.

Believing that he has me right here, right now – for a reason.

Seeing the work of your own hands as the church comes closer and closer to completion.

Learning to see Jesus in every new face you meet, no matter how big or small.

Packing into a Rwandan “bus” which is actually a 16 passenger van, that typically holds no less than 25 people and a couple chickens.

Watching children work harder than any child should.

Crying as a man we just prayed for stands up without his cane and walks around freely.

Sensing the freedom we bring when we walk in the Spirit.

Celebrating a birthday with a Fruit Basket and Cokes for everyone.

This no where near sums up my month but I have absolutely loved this place.
