Before May started, I had this wild goal to be 45% funded by the end of the month. Why? I have no idea; I started the month of May being 28% funded. Meaning I needed to fundraise a lot of money to reach this goal. But I was feeling optimistic and had no idea how I was going to do it.
Have I reached that goal yet? NO
Is May over yet? NO
After a not so successful garage sale due to rainy and cloudy weather and having mentally set a goal amount for t-shirts sold and right now being far from that, it became very discouraging. The goal of 45% continued to become more and more unlikely.
Throughout May, I’ve recognized people who have helped me over the years. Through my interactions and friendships with them, I realized that I would not be here without all of YOU. Every interaction big or small has made an impact on who I am. It’s because of YOU that I have learned to love one another, to know when and how to be strong, to recognize the friendships I have are God’s sent, and I didn’t get to where I am on my own.
I cherish every friendship, every hi and goodbye, every door held open. I probably say I love you too often. I probably tell my friends how much they mean to me too often, but my gosh YOU are so loved by me.
May became less of reaching my goal and more of reaching out. The truth is, I can plan all these events, but it takes YOU to make it successful. Supporting me and mission doesn’t always have to be donating money. I’m asking YOU to help me follow my journey. I’m asking YOU to help me spread God’s love with others. Your donations will help everyone I come in contact with, just like YOU have helped me.
Your support isn’t just money to me. It’s knowing I am not in this alone. If you’re hesitant, I’d love to get lunch with you and talk about God’s calling for me. If you’re not in a spot to donate, there are so many other ways to help. Share a post, tell your friends about me and my missions, host a fundraiser, and just love others.
I can’t do this alone, and I need YOUR help to make this possible.
