I‘m currently reading Everybody Always by Bob Goff. (10/10 recommend) There’s a chapter that discusses what is meant by the phrase ‘love thy neighbor.’ In it, it talks about how loving God and loving thy neighbor are inseparable. And then goes to say, nowhere is it defined who our neighbors are. Our neighbors are everywhere, they’re our family and friends, but they’re also our co-workers, strangers on the side the road or the people standing behind you in line.  And I think this is something that is easily forgotten; God asks us to love thy neighbor in all circumstances. To love them, the way we love Him.

(Even at 7:30 in the morning when you aren’t going fast enough for someone else’s liking.)(I guess I’ll still love you guy in the white GMC, (even though you were too close for my liking.))

wanted to take some time to highlight a friend that has had a huge impact on my life and I think truly gives meaning to the phrase ‘love thy neighbor.’

feel incredibly blessed to have met her. Our friendship started over a random follow social media, but truly began over a few pints of ice cream. I remember this night, her unique laugh and bubbly smile.

I felt comfortable.

felt appreciated and loved.

Little did I know, that God just introduced me to a forever friend.

She reminds me that sometimes sacrifices need to be made. She recognizes what areas need more attention; but does it anyway, because she has a heart that’s willing to give.

She reminds me what it’s like to be strong, to be confident.

Mark 12:31 ” Love thy neighbor as yourself.”

I see this every day. I see a beautiful woman who has confidence, and it’s no wonder she loves so beautifully because it starts from within.

I have watched her go through trials that no one should ever go through, but I have watched her turn these trials into something more. I’ve have watched her turn to God when her strength has fallen.

I found a friend that encompasses all that I wish to be in a friend to others.

It’s an honor to have served beside her at Camp Jubilee. To watch her love these children and give them the attention they deserve. The kids look up to her as a leader, as a friend.

I see God in your every move. God speaks through your words. God is visible through your acts of service.

Every time I’m with you, I see a little more of our Father’s greatness. You love thy neighbor without hesitation.

Your acts of love are something so admirable. You live each day to serve others, to love others. You remind me that there is no one who doesn’t deserve our friendship. Thank you for being an amazing sister in Christ. You have changed my life.

I love you, Morgan.
