{Bare with me as I begin to word vomit what’s been on my mind recently}

If you ask me why I’m doing the world race, one reason would be because I am so loved. I am surrounded by so many amazing people who have encouraged, helped, loved, and fought for me. Even before the World Race was ever in the picture, people picked me up when I was weak and helped me through struggles.

I want to give this to others. I will have so many opportunities to speak to people, to help them, and learn their story and I LOVE asking questions. I love being able to learn about people and understanding why they are who they are. Any conversation holds so much potential. One thing that the World Race has taught me thus far is to be intentional, and I have begun doing that in my time here in America still. Time may be short, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be a beneficial time.

The World Race also teaches a lot about abandonment. I’m leaving the comfort of my family, my friends, my home, my closet, an income, and control. As an organization, the WR oversees my housing and ministry. I typically have no say in what I do or where I live. I am abandoning everything that I have come to know and love.

But with this, I can give that much more to others. I get to pour and love on all these people because it’s all I have.

I am so excited to spark these conversations with others, to love them, and to learn their stories. Through my journey, I hope I can share these stories with you, but also for you to recognize that your story is important too.

You may not be leaving the country for a year, and I may not meet you in a city in Thailand, but I will never stop wanting to hear your stories. We both have a journey over the next year; they’re just a little different.

Thank you SO SO much to everyone who has supported me thus far and decided to follow my journey. If you haven’t yet, I ask that you pray and consider supporting me and my journey. Any amount has an impact, and I would not be here without you.

Can you help me help others around the world?

With love,

B
