Hey everyone this is my first blog post and I’m not typically the best at writing about myself but I’ll give it my best shot. My name is Bryce Simmons I grew up in a small farming community in Central Oregon with my Mom, Dad, sister and brother. My parents have both been amazing examples in my life and I am very blessed to have the family that I do. Growing up I began working at a very young age whether it was various construction projects with my dad or changing hand lines for the neighbors. Working so young taught me many important life lessons at a very young age like proper work ethic and responsibility. I played 3 sports in high school football, track and trap shooting in high school. This year was supposed to be my senior year but last year I decided to graduate a year early. My reasons for graduating early all disappeared with the coronavirus. I thought that by graduating early I could jump right into my career path of choice and finish earlier but God had different plans for me. My plan was to enter in a electrician apprenticeship program shortly after graduating high school. Those plans were changed so I began looking into temporary work options while I was waiting for the apprenticeship program to open back up. Then one day I decided that I would use this opportunity to go on a mission trip. I have always wanted to go on a missions trip and I looked in to many different organizations with lots of different trips and then I found this one and I really felt God’s guidance to go on this trip. I am very excited to go on this trip as I feel God’s guidance with this decision. I am excited to go outside my comfort zone and push myself in order to serve for God’s glory.
