Standing in awe. No words to describe our joy!
Bryce and I have been praying every day that God does the miraculous, that he multiplies our donations. We ask God to give us more than we could ask or imagine, to overwhelm us with his faithfulness in calling us on the this trip. We’ve been stuck thinking we have reached as far as our circles can go, feeling a little dull and stale in our direction. However, the prayers remained the same.
Well, this morning we saw a donation of $200 from someone named PC and we both couldn’t confirm that we knew this person. I asked around, to my friends, my family, Facebook – we couldn’t find this person anywhere. I responded back to the email and wrote a thank you letter, hoping they would respond back and I would suddenly be reminded of who they were.
A few hours later I saw a reply back, and I was so eager to find out who! PC wrote back saying that he stumbled upon our blog and noticed that we were from Tennessee, where he’s from too. Then he continued to say, “what you’re aiming to do is going to be fruitful and a life-changing experience. God bless and I pray that God would be glorified through your marriage and coming trip.”
After I picked my jaw up off the floor and tried to understand why a stranger would be so willing to give so much, I managed to get to the bottom of the letter.
“…And since you asked for prayer requests, I’ll take it, I’m in the U.S. Air Force and currently deployed (Middle East, but nowhere crazy); just pray that I would use my time out here wisely, and I would see it as the big opportunity that it is to get closer to God.”
Please join us in praying for PC and thanking God that people with faith like his, exist!!
God is certainly giving us more than we could ask for and encouraging us that funding for this trip is in HIS hands.
***UPDATE: our friend, Rachel, who is going on our trip as well, received a $100 donation from PC this morning. We all don’t know him, we just know he has a heart for Tennesseans and knows how to bless us! This story just gets even cooler!
***SECOND UPDATE: I just heard from our friend, Emma, on our route as well, and she received a donation from PC. Praise the Lord, this man is impacting the Kingdom, immensely!!
