And We’re Off…

So as promised here is my first blog post!  I know you are all excited and waiting with anticipation about what great revelations I have to share.  The past few days at Launch training has been amazing.  We have had great worship times, lots of teaching, and even real life practices of Adventures in Missions procedures.  It has been great to see the familiar faces of those new friends from training camp.  We’ve has lots of laughs, some tears, made new memories, and started living in community with each other.

Today is the day; the day we officially leave.  By supper time tonight, we should have arrived at our ministry location, Hope 4 Dominican Republic (www.hope4drnow.org) in Lajas de Yaroa.  It is surreal to think that for the next 11 months I will not be in the United States, but instead ministering to people all around the globe.  To say I am currently feeling a variety of emotions would be an understatement.

I am amazed that Christ has called me to join Him in spreading His word and to come along side of Him and be apart of the work He has started in the Dominican Republic.  I pray that as my squad goes out to reach the nations that we would be bold in our faith and listen to the Holy Spirit and follow where He leads.  Please continue to pray for my squad, my team, myself, our ministry hosts, and those individuals we come in contact with.  Pray that every day we would live with a kingdom mindset and that we would look for opportunities to share Christ with everyone we meet.

Romans 10:11-15
How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”
