Hi all!

an education from Biola University (Bible Institute of Los Angeles): BA Biblical/Theological Studies
abundant life by God through Jesus Christ: John 10:10b

I Enjoy…
Being with people, Reading/Studying the
word of God, learning about lifestyles and worldviews, apologetics,
discipleship, competition, volleyball, basketball, ultimate frisbee,
playing guitar, listening to all kinds of music, snowboarding,
wakeboarding, rock climbing/bouldering, dancing like a goof (I’ve
caught myself a few times dancing to catchy songs while watching a
movie at the theatre),singing in the shower, making faces, a good Comedy movie, and laughing with people.

From IF-life to REAL-life
If
I had 7 lifetimes, I think I’d try to spend each one on a different
continent, learning the culture and lifestyles of people.  Why they
live the way they do.  How they live.   What motivates them to do the things they do.
Etc.  I’m a pretty analytical person so learning about different
perspectives in the world is really fun for me.  Hence my passion for
apologetics and deepening my understanding of Truth.  Which leads me to listening to debates and talks on the existence of God, the resurrection of Jesus, the authenticity of the Bible, morality, truth, and other deep stuff all the time.  I like to listen to people much smarter than I talk so I can learn from them and then be used to give back that information to others whether it be manifested in words or actions.  Life is simply fascinating!  I want to know more!

Defining Point
A huge defining point in my life came after I graduated from college.  I applied right out of college to get my Masters in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care at Talbot Theological seminary and by the grace of God I didn’t get in.   Upon this transition in my life from the “Biola Bubble” to “real” life I received a phone call from my Grandpa on my ma’s side to give me some encouragement.  I don’t think he knew how prophetic his call actually was.  He said, “though you were not accepted into the program you applied to, God has placed you into that program right now.  And your teacher is the Holy Spirit.”  WOW!  that year I was faced with a question that changed my life…
“If you had nothing but me (God) would that be enough for you?”
I honestly couldn’t say so but I desperately wanted to say yes.  I remember going to bed crying out to God that He’d infultrate my heart and align it to His will.  The very next morning I woke up simply overwhelmed with how REAL God’s presence was.  It was simply the weirdest yet most amazing thing I’ve ever experienced.  It was as if God was literally in my room.  He became so real that he transcended all my logic and understanding of His word and became more personal than ever before.  Gramps was right.

Sorry so long.  Bless yall for reading.  Be encouraged!
THE END for now…
