Hello Everyone!
Since being back from the race (nearly 6 months) it has been clear that God has been whispering to me one word more than one time, “Wait.” The rest of the conversation usually went something like this…
God, “Wait”
Brooks, “What? I just came back from traveling for 11 months walking with you closely. Don’t you mean it’s time for me to do something else?”
God, “Just Wait”
Brooks, “Wait for what? How do you want me to wait? What should I do while I wait?”
God, “Just Wait”
So I am 6 months out of World Race now and it seems pretty clear that God has now directed me to “MOVE IT OR LOSE IT SISTER!” (thank you Dumb and Dumber)
Through various leadings of many people, God has directed my footsteps to Georgia (the state) in order to learn and eventually step into a position known as a Project Leader for Adventures Youth. In short, I will be living on-site at one of Adventures Youth’s missions sites acting as the main liaison between our contact and our home base. I will also communicate and coordinate directly with the Youth Group Leader on site. Lastly I will have a staff of 3 leaders working with me to make the missions trip a success. I am very excited for this opportunity and feel very confident that this is where God wants me to be.

btw I’ve already started practicing sleeping on the ground again and it has been wonderful.
