“YA GOT NOTHING TO OFFER…and that’s all I need!”
People were bringing little children to Jesus to have him touch them, but the disciples rebuked them. When
Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, “Let the little
children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God
belongs to such as these. I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” And he took the children in his arms, put his hands on them and blessed them. – Mark 10:13-16

Cause and Effect Living
There are times that “cause and effect” dominates all areas of our lives.  It gets ingrained in our brains that we have to do something in order to receive value and worth.  There’s a faint, subliminal lie in our heads that says, “you’re not good enough, therefore you should do something about it!”  And the worst thing about this lie is that it leads us down a path of trying to earn fulfilling grace.  Well that just doesn’t make any sense!  Grace in it’s definition is, “unmerited favor.”  That’s like saying, “Ya got nothing to offer…and that’s all I need!”  God grants this grace through Jesus Christ and we, as little children,  now can be accepted by him, “…not by works lest any man should boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9).  We don’t have anything to offer him that can benefit His character (Exodus 3:14).  He’s already everything he needs and yet He chooses to bless us with everything He is to make us everything we aren’t (nor can be), namely righteous.

Sometimes children teach the best lessons…
The pictures are of my niece whom literally has nothing to offer me.  She can’t say my name and she even forgets who I am since I’m not around her all the time.  Even so I still love her and am proud to be her uncle.  Sometimes children teach the best lessons.
