Discipleship Class Has Begun –

Live, Teach, Work, Play, Grow, and do it again…

I have been staying at a home run by a Pastor and his wife that houses Refugees and helps educate them in hopes of eventually resettling them.  This whole month we have been living under the same roof as them and doing life together.  It has been extreme discipleship at it’s best.

Some of the boys…

I have been blessed to teach these boys at a school, as well as live with them under the same roof.  It has been constant communication, constant pouring in and constant paradigm checks.  It has been such a joy and life-giving month that it is making it hard to wind down and transition into the next ministry.

These boys in the pictures are amazing!!!  They are younger than 14 years old and look so much like Jesus.  Here are some examples:  I have been consistently eating with them and pouring into good conversation at the fellowship table.  Almost every time we sit down they have a cup of water in front of me.  And if there isn’t a cup there they intentionally go out of their way to fetch me some water.  They also get my plate, fork, and spoon ready for me to eat.  Then after I have my food they invite me to eat with them.  Sometimes when I am getting ready to lead worship they always offer their seat for me to sit in.  Every day they have chores that they do, and I’ve never seen any one of them moan or groan.  I can’t go anywhere without them opening up doors and leading me like I was their bride.  It’s been fun to live and be with them.  I’m so blessed to learn from these boys.  I wish these stories could do them justice, but I just can’t seem to do so with words.  If you imagine Jesus Christ as a group of 11-14 year-old boys then you got them marked down to the T.  I love these boys.
