TRAINING CAMP #1 THIS WEEK!!!
I have my first training camp this coming week and I’m stoked out of my mind! I get to meet everyone on my squad and split up into our smaller teams of around 6-9 people. Any suggestions for cool team names? Our camp is in Georgia (the state not the country). Quick prayer request: I have a flight with another racer that has a layover, and if the layover is delayed we could potentially miss the bus taking us to camp from the airport. YIKES! All in all it’s going to be great!
Financial Blessings!
First off I want to thank all of my supporters thus far! You guys are amazing! Every single time I check my account I get blown away by how God has provided from each one of you. I was in a conversation with a buddy of mine just recently who was so excited about supporting me that he told his dad (whom I have never met) and his dad chose to help support me as well. Whaaaaaat! Thanks so much everyone!
Saratoga Federated Church Internship (Continued)!
The Internship that I’ve been blessed with is going great! People’s lives are being changed every week. There have been some amazing realizations through this series “Love, Sex, and Lasting Relationships” that have brought people to recognizing practical changes they must make in their lives…really hard but necessary changes. The results have been tremendous emotional, spiritual, and even physical healing!
Divine Appointments!
I have been pleasantly surprised with both the random and planned interactions I have had with people. For example, I was having a conversation with a friend outside of a local Starbucks when a man named Shahin (who we found out was a pastor at a local church) came up to us and asked if we’d be interested in hearing about “Prophecy and the End Times.” Naturally we were interested in hearing what he’d have to say. He then saw my Bible laying on the table and rerouted his topic to encouraging us in the Word of God. We listened as he spouted out scripture passages regarding God’s people Israel and building their altars whenever traveling to a foreign land. He continued, “I encourage you to build your altar to the Lord daily. Your altar will be wherever your knees hit the ground (referring to praying in a humble position).” The conversation was so rich with stories, exhortations, and encouragements that we all walked away energized and stoked to embark on our journeys God would lead us on. Thanks Shahin!
All in all God is real, good, and sovereign. How blessed are we to know Him through Jesus Christ. MMMMMHHHMMMM.
