9 days until training camp, 69 days until I leave the country, and 1 God who can make anything happen!
Some people say that the best things in life are free. I would agree that THE BEST thing in life is free and that is the free gift of grace that God gives to all who accept it. That is the absolute best thing in life.
On the contrary, not all good things are free. Sometimes a sacrifice is made to make something good happen. Jesus sacrificed His life for us but we have such a hard time making a sacrifice for Him. These sacrifices are not limited to our finances but also our time and dedication. I did not want to go on the World Race because it looked like a fun adventure, I wanted to make a sacrifice to God.
The word sacrifice in the dictionary is defined as: the act of giving up something that you want to keep especially in order to get or do something else or to help someone.
This is why I signed up for the World Race. I want to sacrifice my comfort so that I can tell others about Jesus. There are millions of people in this world who have never heard about Jesus, and I want them to hear. What do I get out of this? The joy that comes from seeing people come to Jesus and the joy of being obedient to God’s calling.
I am very nervous about this journey but I am even more excited to see what God is going to do in and through me. Please keep me in your prayers and be prayerful about considering making a sacrifice by making a financial donation to support me financially.
