Can you believe it? We are in India month 7!! Jet lag was a bit tough this time because it’s 10 hours apart and so for the first couple of days we got to rest and adjust. A day after travel, we all went to church that lasted until 8:30 and we had such a hard time trying to stay awake but afterwards we got donuts and Chi tea!! Also when we arrived at our house they served us Chi tea. Chi tea is a common drink here and it’s very good! So Monday we started working at the hospital near us with some volunteers from America. I got to help out some nurses with eye glasses and helping patient get to the places the needed to.
I also got the opportunity to pray for people in person in the prayer room we had. It was a great way the Lord challenged me in my faith and in training to pray out loud. Something I have never witnessed is a healing through prayer so, I asked the Lord to show me a physical healing through prayer. I want to understand his power and to see the Holy Spirit work within me for his glory. So that day, a man came in asking for prayer over his mouth that was causing him a lot of pain and after praying for him, he said that he couldn’t feel the pain anymore!! That gave me so much encouragement that I was praying with a purpose even if sometimes I couldn’t see anything happen. The Lord showed me something so beautiful, what it is like to love and care so much for a person to ask God for healing or peace for them. Jesus showed up in these moments and showed me what love is. True love that puts away judgement and shame and gives full attention to light and righteous. Even though we were higher than the people we were praying for, we allowed ourselves to be lower than them and serve them in a way Jesus did. It produced a spirit of pure joy and refreshment!
As the clinic went on for that week, there were more than 1,000 people that got care and got introduced to Jesus! This is the ministry that reminds me why I’m here, for the Lord to show me more. More of his love for his people, more of his love for me, to show me by going to all nations and proclaiming the amazing truth and freedom that is found in him.
