Hi familia!

It’s been awhile since I hopped on here! I hope you haven’t forgotten about me ;D

I just wanted to post a quick update about all the happenings of World Race prep and support raising ๐Ÿ™‚

Support Raising Update:

As of September, I’m at $4,765 raised – that’s about 26% of my total costs raised, and over my first deadline, due this month! I am so incredibly thankful to not only reach this first deadline, but to exceed it! Having support from loved ones and beyond has been my fuel and fire to keep pursuing the call God has placed on my life – so thank you!

If you are following along with me on this journey, my next deadline is December 16th and I need to have a minimum of $8,500 raised. Currently, I have one monthly donor of $100, so by December 16th I’ll have $5,165 guaranteed. That means that I’ll need $3,335 in the next three months.

Would you kindly pray that I’ll reach this next goal? I believe in the power of prayer and I know that Jesus will show up! But I’m thankful that this is a community mission, and that I don’t have to do life and this mission alone. I’m thankful that God encourages us to lean on one another and to reach out – so here’s me reaching out, humbling myself, and asking if you will consider supporting my ministry financially! God has plans to move powerfully – through me, through you, and through my squad – but He’s calling on you to show up; and y’all, $5 is show-ing UP.

I’ve had friends donate $5 and $15 and you know what? Their support and generosity will reach in miles of goodness, and it meant SO MUCH to me that they cared enough to donate at all ๐Ÿ™‚

Route Changes:

As of August, due to the state of the world currently with the Coronavirus, AIM made the decision to change Expedition route, so my squad and I are no longer going to the 10/40 window – which was a huge part in my decision to go on Expedition over other routes. To be honest this was really hard for me to accept. I already felt like the coronavirus had taken so much from me (and others) and so I was having a hard time with losing my route.

I was told from the beginning to hold my route loosely – even without the coronavirus routes change all the time. But the amount that it changed kinda crushed me and so I checked out on WR stuff for a bit. I can’t say I’ve fully accepted the change but I’m getting there. I believe that God has a plan; I trust Him infinitely and I’m expectant for the ways He’s going to use my squad in this change. But I’m drinking His grace as I give my disappointment into His gentle hands.

For reference, here’s the old route compared to how it changed!

Old route:

Lebanon

Cyprus

Turkey

Kazakhstan

Kyrgyzstan

Uzbekistan

Azerbaijan

Malaysia

Indonesia

Papua New Guinea

Australia

And the changes (from the email):

Central America (starting in Guatemala), Europe (starting in Spain), Central Asia (Kazakhstan), Southern Asia (India) and Southeast Asia (Thailand or Cambodia)

This will be  my second time going to India and I just can’t help but feel like there’s a powerful reason God is sending me back. I was supposed to go back over this summer, but due to the virus (and personal reasons), those plans got cancelled. It sounds like God wants me there. Otherwise I’m excited to go to Spain (I actually wanted to go to Spain for my 25th birthday this year!), and I’m thankful that we are still going to Kazakhstan. That’s it on my route for now! I’ll do my best to keep everyone posted on any other big changes ๐Ÿ™‚
