Ministry in India is continuing to go very well! We go to different schools each day to hang out with children and get to know their families. We teach them songs, play games and help with their school work. Afterwards we always have a meal with the pastor. I’ve loved getting to know the kids here, but we don’t have a lot of time with them each day and so it’s been hard to have to say goodbye to them. We have to make sure to make the best of the time we have with them.

Living in India is always an adventure, one day we came home from ministry and our compound we’re staying at was completely taken over by beetles. The floors were COVERED with these bugs, and we literally had to light them on fire to get rid of them. We also had to kill a rat, and lizards and bats also inhabit this place. Every day I definitely take a step further out of my comfort zone!

On a different note, we got invited to an Indian wedding and got to dress up in Saris! We rode in a tuk tuk to the wedding in our Saris. Then we took pictures with the bride and they were really excited that white people were there. It was a really neat experience and I felt lucky that I got to be apart of that. I love the culture here and how generous everyone is. We are welcomed into people’s homes and treated like family. It’s hard to believe that in just 8 days we leave India and head to Nepal, and my first month of the world race is completed. Living in India has been an incredible experience, even though I have to kill a couple 1,000 beetles from time to time. India has my heart and I will miss it, I am ready for whatever God has planned for me next.
