Hello,
My name is Brooke Van Eyk and I live in Greenwood, South Carolina. I am 18 years old and I am a senior in high school. I attend church at South Main Baptist Church and I am involved in youth group there. I love my church and my church community has encouraged me so much in my faith in God. I have a love for photography, good music, writing, and I’m always down for an adventure! I love to meet new people and experience new things. I have a passion for mission work and this all started when I went on a mission trip to Haiti a few summers ago. I left my heart there and God completely changed my life through this experience. I knew that wasn’t going to be my last mission trip when I returned home. Now, I’m going on the World Race! Which is something I never saw myself getting the opportunity to do. The normal thing for me to do is to attend college after high school, but I’m taking a different path. I had no idea that God would give me the opportunity to travel to 5 countries in 9 months to tell people about Him. It may seem crazy, but amazing. I cannot wait for what God has in store for me, and I can’t wait to share it with all of you! Some other random facts about me are:
- I was raised on a Navajo Reservation in Arizona up until I was 14. My parents ran a youth center there and growing up in a different culture was life changing and definitely never boring, lol. ( I was like the only white kid in town)
- I could live off of Chickfila
- I love the outdoors, hiking is my thing.
