I think it’s time for the world (meaning my 200 consistent viewers) to meet my team! I live with 7 of the most genuine and kind hearted people I’ve ever met. In all seriousness my team and our two leaders mean so much to me and have all had a significant part in my walk, within two short months.
However, sometimes they’re freaks.
We are all noticing each others weird quirks lately and I thought there was no better way to introduce them than to list off some ~silly~ things they do.
I thought it would be fun to describe each person with the “special” things they do day to day
Most of you don’t know a lot about them but I wanna see if you can guess which one I’m describing. Hopefully all their parents read this. HI tk parents!!! If you have no guesses, still read all of them because these people make me laugh so dang much and they’re really funny.

- kind of vegan
- does not enjoy wearing bras
- sleeps in the position of a corpse
- has a pathological fear of ants (specifically on her bed)
- has poppin’ highlight (brought Anastasia palette on the race)
- *we have the same shoes in the same size* and she knows when we’re wearing each others. ((they feel different??))
2.)
- *has a clothes line inside her bunk* **hangs things over her while she sleeps**
- brought 50 pictures to hang on the wall
- showers more than all of us combined
- chronic sayer of “ya know what i mean?”
- curls hair with straightener
- takes a long time to clear throat (sometimes i worry if she is taking in air in the process)

- has just accumulated bright red sweatpants, loves them
- eats tuma patties ??
- still in search of two missing hotdogs
- has a distinct laugh (once it starts it doesn’t stop until she’s crying)
- CANNOT twirl when dancing with a male (has a bit of an insecurity about it)
- wrote lyrics and was featured in a recorded rap song
4.)
- licks her lips all the time
- repeats phrases from movies or shows constantly
- popped a zit and used her shirt to wipe the blood, day 3 – still wearing shirt
- *grabs face* “you’re so cute”
- rubs other people’s earlobes
- eats microwaved powered cookie dough in a mug every night
5.)
- does funny voices (usually at nighttime)
- eats a plethora of oreos
- didn’t poop for 3 weeks straight on the race
- puts her cold feet on me
- illegally downloads every movie ever
- knows every word to fresh prince theme song
- likes to clean for fun
6.)
- was told she looks like a seven dwarfs, and a red panda
- says things like “i literally can’t” or “love that for me”
- foot got ran over by a car
- can’t hide her expressions
- brought 3 pairs of glasses on the race (has 9)
- currently trying to detox from a dry shampoo addiction (i saw her use it this morning)
- hates her neck being touched
- oddly obsessed with bananas

- says a lot of words to describe things, for example “I’m not really all that sure about that one”
- “am I right ladies” *head tilt* **duck face**
- says okay after a lot of sentences, for example “I love you guys okay?”
- laughs an excessive amount (a giggler for sure)
- gets lice on the reg
- constantly asks you “what is it that you think you’re doing right now?” a normal person would probably say whats up
- avoids people at all costs on the weekends, always in bed but never sleeps

- showers one a week (if were lucky)
- squeezes peanut butter out of a ziplock into mouth – calls it a meal
- lives with a mountain of clothes sharing her bed, whilst sleeping
- avid cuddler (enjoys arm tickles)
- does every impulsive thing she thinks of
- has a snazzy foot jig
- has a blister from sharpening too many pencils

- cleans the peanut butter jar with her finger before putting it away

- strong ability to catch turtles
- constantly tries to ask if we remember things that no one has ever heard of

Allow me to introduce you to my team by number!
1.) Abby!! This girl is independent! She needs no one but she loves everyone! She walks in step with the spirit of the Lord and it has been so cool to watch her learn to recognize his voice. Also, she hates the idea of killing animals, and can’t have lactose. Claims she’s not vegan because she eats eggs but I’m not convinced.
2.) Molly!!l has such a gentle spirit, she shows it to you as you become closer with her. I admire her determination to get things done. She has such a kind heart and just wants everyone to know the love of Jesus. We really balance each other out because she showers probably every day and I….. don’t… at all.
3.) Emily!!! Our wildcard!! Emily is our squad leader who came to us very shy and reserved and has since opened up and showed us how silly and fun she can be. She leads us well and we would be a mess without her. P.S. she rocks the red sweatpants.
4.) Sav!! Man oh man this ones a trip! Sav brings a spirit of energy and joy to our team. Even when we’re all tired and want to kill her for repeating the same phrase over and over.. she still has a smile on her face. If you’re around sav, get used to your earlobes being touched.
5.) Melina!! My freakin gal. A ball of spunk and light. We’re constantly laughing and she’s constantly the one I want to make me feel better when I’m upset. When we cuddle she puts her cold feet on me because I’m “warm”.
6.) HAN! My soul mate. The person I spend every second of my day with teaching preschoolers. Watching the spirit of patience the Lord is giving both of us is so encouraging. She’s fun. She eats ice cream with me! The only one who doesn’t judge my habit. Please be praying for for her through this tough time of breaking addiction, I told her the first step is accepting the dry shampoo problem.
7.) Tally girl!! Tal pal did the race last year and came with us for the first three months to show us the ropes! She’s like a cool big sister, she leads us but she’s also fun to cuddle with. She loves us so well and we may or may not be trying to smuggle her to Africa with us.. Am I right ladies?!
8.) Me! Oh hey this ones me! Uhh so this makes me sound like a huge slob.. but is it wrong? No. Hehe my team loves me through my messiness and my quirks. One of them is such a good sport when I stroke her toenail, its abnormally soft okay. Maybe someday I’ll show you my foot jig. OR you can go to latest instagram post and watch the magic for yourself! (shameless self promo)
9.) Elyse! My other half for real! We are so similar while being so opposite of each other. She is constantly striving to love others better and we have had many talks about what that looks like in our life. She makes me a better person plain and simple. We share the same bed often because we both like to snug. Also, she cleans the inside of the peanut butter jar after I make it messy. Meant to be.
10.) Aves!! The light of my life, this girl is constantly joyful and brings wisdom into every conversation. Her voice is from Heaven I swear. Her prayers are so intentional. When I see her I smile. She’s usually smiling too, unless you wake her up and she lifts her pizza sleep mask to give you a look of death.
Tada!! Team Talitha Koum/ team bonding/ team onion/como se dice keep em comin/team warrior princesses! We’re a little indecisive and every one likes a different name. Honestly I probably wouldn’t have chose this group at training camp, but I’m grateful for the Lord everyday for his plan for us. We’re not very similar and sometimes we clash, we didn’t know if we would reach a close level or how long that would take. 2 months into the race I can sincerely say I couldn’t imagine the start of this journey with anyone else!
