hi sorry i have been so inconsistent with my blogs. turns out, i’m not a verbal processor. who would’ve known. just kidding. everybody knows. anyways
tonight i had the privilege to be apart of “secret church”. a recreation of what it’s like to gather for worship in countries where Christians are persecuted. this was only a small representation and i cannot even imagine the things these men and women and children face. it is a huge inspiration and wake up call to me that these people gather together to praise fully knowing that they could be arrested and tortured, or even worse be killed. Jesus is so worth it to them. Jesus is worth dying for but Jesus is also worth living for. every single breath in our lungs belongs to Him.
we had a 4 hour service in the dark with no ac. i don’t know if i have ever sweat so much. seriously it was like a 40 person sauna. however that is NOTHING compared to what our brothers and sisters around the globe endure.
we were given papers with a randomized country. we were given time to pray over the people of the country. all of the countries we were given are on the 50 most dangerous countries to be a Christian.
i was given Saudi Arabia. admittedly i know nothing about this country. the paper listed some facts like the kings name and what rank on the list they are. the 15th most dangerous place to follow Jesus in the world. i immediately felt words flowing out of me from the Lord. i wrote down the prayer that was on my lips and i wanted to share it with you so that you can continue to pray for Saudi Arabia and every other country where Christianity is illegal.
Jesus is able to break the strongest chains and He will.

my sweet Jesus,
Lord, i want to pray for your children in Saudi and in the world. Father, i know how much you love them and want a relationship with every single one of them. Jesus, you hurt for them. You didn’t put them in a situation of persecution but You are the only one who can get them out of it. Father i pray that fear of what could happen to them wouldn’t hold them back from what they know is true. Your love. i pray that your sons and daughters that do already would know you would grow in their faith and become deeply rooted in You. i pray that they would rise up and be a bright light in the midst of all of the deep darkness and confusion that is life without You. i pray you would raise questions in people about what they believe, that they wouldn’t be content until they know you and are known by you. Show them without you there is NO fulfillment. there is no passion. give them passion. give them fire. give them an overflow. Lord, let their families see You through them. i pray you would restore families. Intervene in every part of day to day lives until they no one can run from You any longer. God you are so good. even when they are in the midst of suffering, You are good. You gave your life so that we can give ours right back to you. Jesus i pray specifically for the leadership in Saudi Arabia. touch their hearts. touch the heart of king Salman. Lord, wreck his life. make it impossible to deny you any longer, let him turn to you and give his life to you. Set him on fire so he may set a nation on fire. give the government officials a divine intervention with you, show them your character, show them your overwhelming love. i pray the government would influence the country they’ve been given control over, with You and Your name. i pray you would take ownership of your country and your people God. You are faithful. you send people to liberate these sons and daughters. you send people to intercede on their behalf. You started a movement and You always finish what You start. i pray there would be no fear and you would be the strength these people crave and need.
