Hey!! I just wanted to give a little update of where I am since I know it has been a while. My squad and I have made our way to Nsoko, Swaziland where we will remain for the final three months of the race. Our home is what we call the “team house” which consists of six rooms; three large barracks style rooms for our bunking, two private rooms for squad leaders, and a main room + kitchen. Because we are out here pretty far off the grid there isn’t much to do. Free time consists of reading, movies, conversation, games, art, music, etc. Our hosts are also very gracious to invite us over for coffee or grocery store runs as often as they are able.

Our ministry varies dependent upon teams and the weather but primarily my team spends time at a nearby care point. A care point is a location where children come between or after school to get food, play, or have sessions with the administrator of the care point. Our ministry is to love on the children and build relationships.

I hope this gives you a greater glimpse of where I’m at and what I’m doing but if you have any questions please feel free to comment and I will do my best to respond. Soon I will post more in depth of what our ministry experience is like here. Thank you for all of your love and support!

Also, I’ve been trying to post a photo blog from my time in Asia but I haven’t found WiFi fast enough to upload it so just know that’s in the works. Thank you for your patience.
