I was born in Jackson, Tennessee but have been raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. I have a twin brother named Miles and a younger brother named Will. Having a twin is always having your best-friend around, though I want to kill him sometimes, but it’s certainly a blessing. My younger brother is probably the goofiest person I know which always makes things fun. I have always been involved with sports, golf being my favorite. I certainly love getting outdoors, camping, hiking, canoeing etc…. I suppose if I didn’t then I would be crazy to try for the WR. My father and mother raised me as a Christian but not a practicing one. as some might say. It wasn’t until my mothers death in 2009 that I started really going to Christ. Not to say there haven’t been struggles along the way. I signed up for the race because one of my longtime friends Chris Scott (chrisscott.theworldrace.org) did it back in 2009 and he inspired me to get involved. I have been ready for something like this and Chris’ influence came at the perfect time for me. I am so very excited for this journey and can’t wait to get it started.
