TRAINING CAMP
(posted from a hostel in Managua, Nicaragua!
I have no idea how to start this blog. I was in Gainesville, Georgia from Thursday to Monday for training camp. I left for Nicaragua on Monday night.
The down low on training camp is that there are about 70 of us young missionaries preparing to go out to different places all around the world and allowing God to work through us. GOD HAS BEEN MOVING. I have seen His presence all around me. Many have been washed over with the Holy Spirit, there has been physical healing through Him and prophecy. Now these are all great and might miracles- but I have noticed how often God uses spiritual gifts everyday. God has been placing the knowledge on me about a certain person I am supposed to pray over and speak to on my trip. I am trusting Him to reveal His Spirit when I meet them. I would love prayer for healing for that person.
I have been surrounded by godly people that have all poured so much wisdom into me in even the three(ish) days I have been here. I see how alive God is and how much He is doing to CURRENTLY make miracles (similar to the ones in the Bible!)
I see the fruit of wisdom falling upon my squad and the other squads here. It makes me desire more and more of His presence. He says “yes” to us when we ask for more of Him! So ask for more. And more. And more. And more. All I am is to glorify Him. I no longer have to live for myself and it’s the only pure freedom I have felt in the entire world. That freedom is offered to you, in facts He desires you to want it! How amazing is that? Not only does He give the freedom this world doesn’t offer but He wants it for us! I am in complete awe of His glory daily.
One of my biggest takeaways is that God isn’t a cookie cutter (and should never presented the same to everyone- stick with me). Just like you might know a friend- someone else sees another side of them. And God reveals himself in different ways- it’s amazing to hear how God has revealed other characteristics to my new friends and helps me see his bigger picture. Just to clarify- we should change your approach on how we deliver the gospel to each person differently, NOT change the truth (aka contextualization).
God is good all the time – down to the millisecond! How blessed has God made me. I am heading to ministry sites Tuesday and Wednesday and then I will know more about what everyday life looks like for me for the next 3 weeks.
Blessings to you! Let their be joy in your step and a willingness to always say “YES!” to everything He commands.
With much love,
b 🙂
Here is the people I will bring living with (my squad) and they are amazing and on fire for Christ!
