I live in Knoxville, TN. I am currently an AmeriCorps member and work with inner city youth at Emerald Youth Foundation. I love what I do! I have been blessed to be able to hang out with awesome kids everyday. This has been my life for the past two years. Before that I attended college at Berea College in Kentucky. I earned my Bachelors degree in Education and was unsure of what God was calling me to do. Because I did not feel led to go and teach in a classroom, I moved to Tennessee and have just been enjoying what the Lord is doing.

I grew up in a small town in Virginia and am one of three children. I have a younger sister and a little brother. My parents divorced when I was 13 and that was one of the factors that led me to the Lord. While I was in college I had an opportunity to go abroad and teach English for a semester in Ghana, West Africa. I have not been the same since. God really showed so much of himself to me while I was there. He taught me about the love he has for his children and what is really important in life. Since then I have had a passion for missions. My desire is to serve the Lord through service to his people. I feel called to work with children and that is what I love to do.

I am a pretty laid back person. I like to just hang out with my friends and enjoy life. I like watching movies, spending time outside, horseback riding, and much more. Like I am sure we all are, I am very excited about this wonderful opportunity to travel around the world and serve the Lord. It will be amazing to see what the he will do!
