Well, I would suspect that if you are reading this post, you either know a little about the World Race and are exploring the website, or you know me, and are interested in learning more about the World Race- gap year program!
Either way, WELCOME to my blog!!!! I am overjoyed to share this new adventure in my life with you!
My name is Brooke Noel McIntosh, the “Noel” is my favorite part, because I am a Christmas baby (well, December 27). Most people think that would be an awful birthday to have, but I actually really love it! I like to pretend that all of the family members who are in town for Christmas, are actually there for my birthday.
I am the forth of five wonderful McIntosh siblings, along with two incredible parents, two in-laws (who I adore) and a nephew who couldn’t be cuter! I know that everyone thinks that their own family is the best, but I truly think mine is!
I am currently a Sophomore at the University of Kentucky, studying Elementary Education. I really love my major, but mostly because I am obsessed with kids.
“Obsessed with kids” might sound a little dramatic or creepy, but if you know me, you know that it’s actually true! You know that saying “you are the average of the 5 people you hangout with the most”? Well, in my case, I am probably the average of 5 kids. I babysit a whole lot. I love every minute of it, and am very close to the families who I babysit for!
I absolutely love the church that I go to, Southland Christian Church, and feel encouraged each week by my church body and the way that they truly try to love people the way that Jesus loved people.
I found out about the World Race by coincidence, or fate, or God (whichever you want to think). It was SUCH a God thing, actually! Perfect timing in my life. Perfect. Perfect. God is so cool when he does stuff like this and completely grabs our hearts!
I canNOT wait to be on this adventure, and am trusting God 100%, but I honestly am still struggling with the thought of being away from the people I love so dearly, for 9 whole entire months (252 days, to be exact).
Please join me on this journey! I will need all your prayers, encouragement and support!!!
