It’s never easy admitting when we need help. It presents a challenge of being uncomfortable, breaking every bit of pride we try to control. Somehow, there has been a concept, a false standard that tells us when we need help, it must mean we are weak, and that all of the sudden fills up with shame.
Let’s bust that myth!
Proverbs 3:5-6
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths
Right there God is telling us it’s okay to depend on him, we can not depend on our own. He is our help, and our strength. Where our weakness lacks, his strength fills.
If there is one thing in the Christian world that we need help with, God’s and people’s , it’s our dreams. They aren’t meant to be accomplished alone. If a dream can happen without God and people behind you, it’s too small. God wants us to dream big, and have these passions that give us increasing faith knowing it is possible.
My pride has become so broken, that only Gods love can fill it. Even if this journey coated zero dollars, I would still need YOUR help. Yes you, reading this right now. I would need your prayer, support and encouragement. This calling that has been placed on my life is not meant to happen by myself. It’s humbling and challenging hitting this place knowing none of this can be accomplished simply by my human flesh. There is a bigger picture to the incredible journey I will venture off to in October.
Friends and family, this is your journey as well. Maybe God will call you to something like this while reading one of my blogs, or maybe God will reveal revelations to you during your divine prayer time. Any season we go through, on the mission field, or at a desk, we need each other, and our father.
Help does not mean weak.
Thank you all for reading, God bless!
