it’s month 4 already!!!! This whole journey still feels like a dream, time on the race is so strange, I can’t believe we are already headed into our second week here in the Philippines.
My squad and I arrived in Manila on New Year’s Eve our time and rung in 2017 together! Travel days weren’t too long and we arrived here in Bacolod city on the 1st.
We are partners with a ministry called “Go Philippines”
Our squad is split up this month into 3 teams. Evangelizing, building a church and planning a 3 day event at the end of the month is the mission. My team is partnered with one other team from our squad working in Sunshine baptist school and a few public schools.
My mind has been completely in awe of Gods crazy crazy goodness because all the way across the world, we are preaching the gospel in schools!!!!! In America, the argument of taking out “one nation under God” causes riots and hatred between this idea of church and state, while on the other side of the world we are being told to go into schools and freely share our testimonies and the good news. Is my life a dream? I can’t process it because it’s so good.
Yesterday God revealed himself to me in such a profound way, I couldn’t shake it all day. One of my squad mates and I went into a 11th grade class and ninth grade class. There we told our testimonies. For the first time God revealed himself to me through flashbacks when I was 15 and 17. When I was watching all the flashbacks through my head, my testimony was told in a newer way that was so refreshing and allowed me to be more open to the high schoolers.
A few years later, being out of high school, standing in front of those kids, brought such a fire in my heart that I think I will remember for a long time.
So that’s part 1 of all that we are doing. Please lift my squad up in prayers as we prepare for a few different conferences to evangelize to around 6,000 kids.
I am only $2,987 away from being funded which is so incredible to think about! If you would like to help me reach this months final deadline, click the donate button!
Until next time!
