Erinn:”hey, I believe there is going to be a girl that is going to get saved today and I feel like you need to know.”

Alright God, me see someone get saved today? Let’s do it!

Every Saturday we partner with the church for outreach ministries in slum and depressed areas. Last Saturday was the first week we went out. They needed someone to preach to the children, so my teammate Walker and I took that on. I didn’t really have a plan, I just went with whatever God was laying on my heart, so I had no idea what to expect. Also, trying to preach to little children is quite difficult for me. It’s an area I am for sure being stretched in.

As the hour went on, I began speaking about the world’s love and Jesus’ love and the difference between the two. There was one girl that kept catching my eye. Probably because she was the only one not squirming or yelling. But I didn’t think anything of it, i just kept talking. Then the Lord pressed on my heart to do an altar call.

“God I am not doing an altar call with children! “

That was the internal wrestle with the Lord that was going on during preaching. I argued with him for a few different reasons.
•they are too young (never too young)
•I’m not equipped (God already equipped me)

What happened next, I don’t think I’ll ever forget.

“Alright children! How many of you want to experience Jesus love for you and accept him in your heart and have a relationship with him that will last forever?”

About 3-4 hands shot up. After their little hands raised to the sky, I had us adults scatter and pray with the ones that wanted to accept Jesus.

I walked over to the little girl that had caught my attention all afternoon. I asked if I could pray for her, she said yes. As I was praying, the Lord just kept telling me to remind her of who she was, a child of the King, a daughter of the Father, so that was my prayer for her. When I opened my eyes, she was balling. I didn’t really know what to do but I just comforted her the best that I knew how and was smiling ear to ear because this girl had just accepted Christ into her life.

Yana is her name. She is about 10 years old and on January 7th, 2017, Yana accepted the Lord as her savior and will live for him for the rest of her days.

That day I was thankful for a couple things. One, a teammate who stepped out and shared with me this feeling of a girl coming to Christ. Two, the bravery the Lord instilled in me to do an altar call with children. Last but not least, three; Yana.

Thank you for reading the story of Yana. Please keep her and all the children we meet this month in your prayers. God is raising up an incredible generation to do amazing things for His good.

Update on my final deadline. I must be fully funded January 31st to continue on to Africa! Wow Africa, month 5 crazy! If you would like to support me financially, I am about $2,986 away from that. Any bit helps. You can click the donate button on this page. Or if you want to stay updated on more stories, you can also subscribe on this page to get alerts every time I post a new blog.

Thank you to all of you again for your prayers and financial giving. It’s truly making an impact all over the world.
