Things happen when Christians pray. God hears when His people talk to and cry out to Him. Just this week I’ve had so many answers to prayer I’m floored!
Ukraine, the country that holds a very dear place in my heart, has just come through a time of uncertainty and sorrow. After months of prayer on the behalf of my friends, they are now in a time of rebuilding their country.
My first trip to Ukraine, 2 years ago now, I stood here not knowing how much I would fall in love with it and it’s people. Nor did I know how my heart would be broken for my friends, my family, through the months of revolution. There is much to rebuild, but by God’s help I believe Ukraine will rise to the occasion!
Yesterday during in my prayer time I asked God if I could do something; He said yes. In the course of the conversation I also asked Him to sell a cow (He owns the cattle on a thousand hills, you know). By that afternoon He had, and I had a check in my hand for the exact amount I’d prayed about!
Today I just got an update on a good friend of mine who has been stuck in South Texas. After a few weeks of prayer from many people he is coming home today!
So whether it takes months, weeks, days, or just a few hours God does hear His children and He will answer. It is a constant lesson and I praise God that He teaches me often. He is good, and His mercy and loving kindness last forever!
