Let me tell you a story.
It’s the story of a girl who, early in her life, knew she wanted to be a wife and mommy when she grew up. That desire never left her. In fact, it only grew stronger as she grew older and even closer to God. There were many rounds of struggle, and then one day she chose to commit her love story completely to the Greatest Author. It was hard; she got questioned a lot by friends, family, peers, and even strangers. Pressures were put on her and even serious discussions, but through God’s strength she continued down the road she had chosen. Until one day she realized she was not living the Author’s story. Pride had come; she had fallen. Her very commitment had become her stumbling block. She struggled to find her way back. Reaching out, calling, but constantly falling back.
But then, oh bliss, He came in. Jesus himself came in and swept her up in His love. She was forgiven, washed clean, made completely pure in His eyes, and He desired her! He showed her all this. The desire was still there, but this Love was all that she really needed. She was caught in a love story more beautiful than anything she could have ever imagined.
This love story with Author Himself continues still to this day. It has come through an earthly courtship’s beginning and end, a heart wrenching surrender of the dream to be a wife and mother, and even the reawakening, surrender, and blessing of a call.
The commitment was made many years ago not to men but to one Man. The World Race has only asked me to walk further, longer and deeper in my commitment to Jesus Christ. He is the Author of my whole story and my Beloved. He is calling me out to Him, and no man shall take me from that path. I will not break my commitment to the King of kings! The time may come, but it is not now.
“I am my Beloved’s and He is mine”
