Note: This blog started out as something totally different with no prior thought to the direction it actually took. May God use it for His glory.

Well, here we are. Can you believe it? The end of month eight!  It seems like forever and a lifetime ago that I stepped out of my van onto that Georgia red clay and met my squad for the first time. Now I’m sitting on a bus heading into month nine of this segment of my life titled The World Race with them. But it also seems like just yesterday I was learning how to do this thing called life with a bunch of strangers. Look at where God has taken us.

These people are no longer strangers; they are a deeply ingrained part of my life. They are friends, sisters, brothers, partners in crime, accountability partners, prayer warriors, and so much more.
This life has brought me some rough stuff this year- Umpa dying, Uncle Chalie’s death, missing Megan’s wedding, different family members in the hospital for some serious stuff, and even small things like team changes- but my squad, my family, has been there through it all. Each of them have had they’re own struggles too. In everything they have prayed, loved, and pushed each other through every moment so far.

J-squad is not just a group of people traveling around the world looking for adventure and serving Jesus. We are are squad of warriors looking to our Captain and General, following His lead, and pushing back the enemy. We are here to claim every place we step, sit, ride, and fly on as part of the Kingdom of Heaven! We are an army ready for battle and we will rise up to face the powers of darkness! We will together with one voice cry Rak Chazak!! For our God says,

Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6 ESV

And again,
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9 ESV

We know that the battle is the Lord’s and it is He that will fight for us.

J-squad still has three months on the World Race, but that does not mean the battle is ending soon. In fact, it is getting more intense as many of us begin breaching one of Satan’s greatest strongholds- the Red Light district. Please join us in prayer for protection, both spiritual and physical, and for the Holy Spirit to go ahead of us and fill each of us. Pray for lives and hearts to be wrecked for Christ this month, in Thailand and in our squad.

God is moving and that makes Satan angry and scared.
