Actually 32 of them. This fact hit me yesterday as I was thinking about the next year to come and my squadmates. For the most part I’m pretty excited about it but also a little nervous.
See I’ve only ever had a brother, and recently now two step-brothers, and mainly grew up with guy cousins (you have no idea the mini celebration I had when my cousin Georgia was born). I love my brothers and cousins dearly, but there’s a big difference in growing up with guys and growing up with girls around.
What is it going to be like living in close community with these ladies?
Let’s be honest it’s going to be kind of scary. It’s going to be messy and full of hormones, but there is going to be big blessings. We will be able to walk together and share our hearts. We can lift each other up; we can laugh, cry, sing, dance, and maybe have a few spats together.
Yes, I am also excited about the guys on J-squad and can’t wait to get to know them, but there’s only so deep you can go with a brother in the Lord. So this year is going to be a time of growing and stretching in so many more ways than I could ever even imagine
A sisterhood is being formed right now and it’s going to kick satan in the teeth!
