Sorry, as I began writing this post I realized it needed to be in two parts. If you haven’t read the previous post of the semi same title please do. This one plays off that some, but is a little more personal-ish.
It’s no secret that my team, ROAR, has had a rough first two months. We are learning what living in an all girls community looks like, communicating, handling conflict right, and loving each other well. It has its own struggles for each of us. For me it has been hard watching the internal battles of my teammates and feeling their fears, pains, and irritations. To be completely honest there have been a few times in feedback that I wanted to checkout. I didn’t think I could handle the conflict amidst my team. The struggle is real, to borrow the colloquium (AiO nod), and I am ready to get to the other side of it.
In the song “Burn the Ships” it says:
Nobody said it would be easy, but the One that brought us here is never gonna leave us alone.
God has brought us each on the World Race and placed us on team ROAR. He is not going to lead us here to blindly stumble through the process. He has chosen each one of us for this team, and, in the end, He will have a group of beautiful daughters serving side by side, loving each other and Christ very well.
Now, I don’t want you to think it’s been awful because of the struggles. It hasn’t. Yes, the growing, stretching process stinks, but it is also good. I mentioned some of the areas we are learning and growing in. Those are places that we have moved forward. Every day is not just learning. There are days when I truly appreciate and enjoy my teammates. Days where we get to put the new lessons into action, and I can see it strengthen our team that much more. God is faithful and so encouraging.
Team ROAR is going to make it and we will be stronger for all that we have gone through!
