The Hope of Bastion School.
God has been doing amazing things here in Ecuador. As we have researched possible contacts He has been setting up His own meetings. As I mentioned in my last post, this past Friday we were invited to a Christmas party by Paz y Esparanza with their network. We were able to meet several new, potential contacts. One of those was a lady with La Escuela de Esparanza de Bastion, Becky, and Carlos, who works with the camp associated with the school.
Team ROAR was able to meet with Becky, Jesse, and Carlos on Monday to see the school, meet some of the kids, and hear more about what they are doing.
Becky and her cousin, Jesse, are from Canada. They help run the sponsorship program and teach English at the school. There are about 140 children grades K-6 in La Escuela. All of them are sponsered throughout their schooling.
Currently, because of new stipulations imposed by the government on all private schools, they are working to add grades 7-9. When the school year ends in February they will begin the construction project required to expand the school. Please pray for their funding and timing. They have two months before school starts back.
They also are in need of about 27 new sponsers for the incoming kindergartners.

Please pray as they raise funds for the construction project and as decisions are being made for the next school year.
