I’m Brooke Clevenger and I am a 21 year old from Newburg, Pennsylvania. I’m a senior (set to graduate in May 2016) at Shippensburg University with a dual degree in biology and psychology. Once I return from the world race I in to go to graduate school to pursue a career in clinical psychology with a specific focus on adolescents. I’m from a small town in Pennsylvania with my four brothers and our many animals. I have a close-knit, God-oriented family that I am thankful for everyday.
I grew up in Church so there has never been a question about if I know God. It took me a while to recognize the importance of having a relationship with Him and until I began facing situations that I could not tackle alone I didn’t make Him a priority. When I started college and life began looking more daunting I struggled to decide what I was going to do with my life and often found myself overwhelmed and it wasn’t until I finally surrendered full control to God that I saw what His plan was for me.
I have a passion for serving and am thankful that God is blessing me with the opportunity to do just that. I will be joining the team on the August 2016 route of the World Race – I am excited to be deepening my relationship with God as well as serving others and showing them God’s love.
