I am almost to my layover in Ireland, heading to Romania for launch week. After many hours of travel, our delicious plane meal, not much sleep, and a lot of laughter, I am ready to get this adventure underway! Packing and preparing to say difficult good-byes has been so overwhelming this past week that I have not kept up-to-date on here for anyone out there following along. A few changes have taken place. For one, I am actually out of the U.S. now, no more cell phone or hot showers and a lot more sweating, foreign languages, and skype. I also learned my itinerary for the next few weeks!
This next week I will be in Romania with my whole squad (45 people) doing Launch- preparing our hearts for ministry through worship, prayer, and fellowship. We will then be sent out in our teams of about 7 to work with our individual ministries. My team, Team Sozo, happens to be going to Bulgaria for that next 4 weeks, so add that to the list of countries! Gotta keep up! We will be doing student ministry for a camp of 12-18 year olds for at least the first 2 weeks there. This will have us staying in our tents and eating cafeteria style with the students. Can’t wait to learn some Bulgarian and get use out of my tent.
After arriving in Romania, we learned there would be changes to our current teams, so Team Sozo now has Corrinna Gallagher instead of Savannah Rowland. Exploring Romania and staying altogether is proving to be an adventure already. Thanks for your continued prayers and support!
