Kurt is what we named the Yurt our team worked on preparing to be a 24-7 prayer room at our Hungary ministry site.  Not that‘ve ever seen a yurt before, but this was definitely the coolest one. Last weekend, Maranatha hosted the first 24-7 event with a group of Hungarian charismatic Catholics.  For about 4 days, we took turns keeping constant prayer going in the yurt.  This meant some people signing up for 2 hour shifts, sometimes in the middle of the night or early morning.  For our team, these were prime hours.

God moved in mighty ways through Kurt.  In many ways, having this common spirit of prayer really brought our team together.  It also brought great healing and revelation in my life personally.  It has taken me a while to write about what this was in my life because I feel I am still processing.

Mainly, God broke off a lot of crap that’s been holding onto me coming into this journey.  Trust issues, fear and anxiety, and a hardened heart.  I can’t say that I am suddenly a new person, but there is certainly a change in my heart and huge leaps that the spirit made happen.  Another seemingly small but huge thing to me, is that a great pain I have been having in my teeth was completely healed.  This was huge for me and my cynicism because coming on this trip, I said I wanted to see miracles and stop being so cynical.  Late night worship, new prayer forms, and alone times with my Father moved and changed me and my team in ways we were not expecting.

So much of what happened on the “holy ground” of Kurt the Yurt we will carry with us throughout this journey and our lives.
