It is only a few weeks until training camp, my bag is being packed, and I am starting to sell my stuff.  It feels like I woke up last Monday and it was time to go suddenly.  Ready? I can't say I am.  I am preparing in all of the physical ways- buying the necessities, fundraising, and planning goodbyes, but my feet are still planted here.  Leaving just doesn't feel real yet.  I have been most comforted by this verse, " If you spend yourselves on behalf of the hungry, and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness." – Isaiah 58:10.

I think training camp will so many questions and squelch so many anxieties.  We will be going to Chatanooga, TN for a week to meet the rest of our squad.  There, we will all experience a taste of what our journey will be like.  Camping, sharing our faith, living in community, we will try to leave whatever is holding us back there to prepare for July.  Be sure to enter your email under the "subsribe here" box on the left side of the screen to stay in touch with my adventure!
