I am still getting this blogging thing down but I'll have it figured out by the time we leave for Romania! Well, life has been pretty amazing here and God has been doing some exciting things. Catch-22 of that is that I have not really spent much time on my WR preparations. I feel as if there are all of these "to-do's" to prepare for a really exciting year but I don't want that to be all I do and think about fot he rest of this exciting year. I'm praying for balance and discernment. My anticipation has grown however since getting to "know" my fellow racers! I love seeing glimpses of who I will be spending next year with and can see God putting this team together.
The hardest part of this journey so far has been asking for support. I love to share what I will be doing with people yet hate asking for them to partner with me. This has always been a big hang-up for me with mission work. If you know me, you know how much I do NOT like asking for anything! I can see that this is an area God is already wanting to grow me in through this experience.
I do not use the word BLESSED very much because it often falls into that Christianese that people speak and that is one of my petpeeves. However, blessed is the only word I can think of for the way people have already responded in support. It is amazing to be reminded that there are people in my life who will support God's vision. I have moved around quite a bit the past few years so my support system has felt somewhat scattered. While this feels challenging when it comes to raising support, I know God has a plan for it and am trusting Him.
Any support, financial or prayer, is wonderful and one-time gifts are great too. I would love to share in this journey with others here in the states and hope that you would consider being a part of it. The SUPPORT ME tab to the left makes donations easy. Don't forget to subscribe to my blog too!
