We are now in Tanzania! We are really excited about this months ministry. There will be many different areas of ministry including preaching, going to the university, visiting a mentally handicapped center, orphans and widows and visiting with HIV/AIDS patients. We are working Muzimbu at a church called Valley of Blessings. The pastor here is great and we are also working with the youth leader. We just started the ministry on Sunday and have already met wonderful people. Every night someone invites us over to pray with them and visit their home.
Being from the south I am used to people who are nice and welcoming but this puts a whole new spin on it. I wish we could be this nice and inviting to strangers. One of my team mates is from California and she is definitely in culture shock. But we love it, people are so willing to talk with us and be open about their life. So keep checking my blogs for updates and stories of the people we meet.
Pray for more divine appointments, that God will show us all the ways to go this month and speak through each one of us. Pray for health for the team and above all pray that we love one another and everyone we come in contact with with Gods love.
