First of all, I would just like to say thank you to everyone who has reached out to me and encouraged and affirmed me in stepping out in faith to follow the call to go on the World Race. I know that the Lord has called me and that He will equip and prepare me for what lies ahead and what He will require of me.
I know that I still have 10 months before I will leave on this journey in July 2015, but there is a lot of prep work to do beforehand, from packing everything I’ll need for 11 months into a backpack to preparing my heart for the experience ahead.
A number of people have contacted me asking how they can support me in this journey, so I thought I would share with others who might be wondering the same thing.
There are currently three ways I am asking people to partner with me:
Please join me in prayer. This season of preparation is already proving to be a season of stretching and purifying my heart. It definitely has been difficult at times, and I have no doubt that more challenges lie ahead – but we have a wonderful Father and he never leaves us nor forsakes us.
Would you consider partnering with me financially on this incredible adventure? The total cost of the trip is $16,266.10 – which includes the costs of training, travel, lodging, food, and other necessities while abroad. Luckily, this amount is broken up into installments with deadlines to meet along the way.
- $3500.00 – Due May 1st 2015 (2 weeks before training camp)
checks must be mailed by Friday, April 17TH in order for them to process in time to meet the deadline date. Online donations must be submitted by Tuesday, April 28TH in order for them to process in time.
- $7500.00 – Due June 12th 2015
*checks must be mailed by Friday, May 29th in order for them to process in time to meet the deadline date. Online donations must be submitted by Monday, June 8th in order for them to process in time.
- $11000.00 – Due October 1st 2015 (end of 3 months on the field)
*checks must be mailed by Thursday, September 17th in order for them to process in time to meet the deadline date. Online donations must be submitted by Saturday, September 27th in order for them to process in time.
- $15 500.00 + $766.10 (Insurance) = $16266.10 – Due January 1st 2016 (end of 6 months on the field)
If 100 people pledge R150 ($15) a month for 12 months, (starting in November) I would have all of the funds necessary for my trip within 4 months of being on the field.
My next deadline to meet is on May 1st, 2015. I am currently $3,500 away from meeting that goal. Any gift, big or small, helps me reach the goal! 🙂
