For those who dont know, video has been something God has really put on my heart the last couple months. I am really trying to learn anything I can, and have been spending a good bit of time on my race watching videos and reading to learn more. My goal is to spend the next year or so saving money for equipment, learning whatever I can, and hopefully getting to a more professional level. I dont think it is something I want to do for the rest of my life, but I have kind of like a "5 year plan" with it right now. Which is when I get home to film weddings and the odd job I can get. At the same time, maybe do a couple more mission trips and film documentaries. (Maybe a semester in China teaching english 🙂
I am an entrepreneur major, and would use the money to start up what ever business I end up decideing on. Not sure if it would have anything to do with film or not. Either way, I feel being in the 21st century it is a good idea to be as skilled in video, photography, web design and computers as I possibly can.
This is the main reason I have been making the videos I have every month is to practice filming and editing. While at the same time I am able to share our journey with friends and family at home.
Although my videos are far from professional, and I still have a lot to learn. They have already taught me a lot. And I am sure people from home enjoy getting to see a little of what we do.
Just sharing with everyone a little bit of my heart, and dream for myself in the next couple years.
