When I look back at my time in Nepal what do I think of?
– My beautiful and precious host family
– amazing tea
-prayer
– peace and rest
– getting to know my team on a deeper level
– FREEDOM

In Nepal our team stayed with a host family,  part of their ministry was  a  school, We stayed in one if the rooms in the school that was not being used. From the beginning I knew this month was going to be great. It was so beautiful and the enviorment was so relaxed and peaceful. Our ministry as a  team was goin to different villages and praying for people and preaching and encouraging those in the villages. To be honoest we had A LOT more free time then ministry time and  I learned that is ok and it is what God intended the entire time. Our contact who we called  "uncle" would always tell us to take rest… you rest and you pray… So we did. Our team had ample time to pray and encourage each other and also to get very real and vulnerable with each other. It was a very precious time. We also listened to many podcasts together (typically while checking each other for lice :  /) and had some really good discussions about them as well.

While in the village we  had another team with us . It was great to get to know them and spend time with them. With 4 meals thoughout the day all together, we had built in "dates" we could just sit by someone different at a meal and we would create relationships that way. Also to help estabish relationships with the other team,  we drew partners names from the opposite team and we did prayer partners. This was one of the best ideas. I drew Rebecca's name and I was so ecstatic right from the start. This beautiful woman  I have wanted to get to know better from day one and so of couse God allowed us to be together, and how perfect it was. We both have similar hearts and have passion for missions, and are determined to love people into the kingdom of God.  It was so mindblowing to talk with her and hear the same stuff on my heart, the same struggles and excitements and desires  that I have, come out of her mouth. God really used her to speak truth and freedom into my life and she has told me that I did the same. I am so thankful for how God is so purpuseful in what He is doing in us, in where HE puts us, who He puts us with, and how His timing is ALWAYS PERFECT! Thankyou LORD

Being with the family we were with God taught me a lot though them. They were so awesome. They would get up early and make us food, they wouldask us if we we were ok if we needed something or more of something, they went out of their way to take us to ride elephants becuase we told them we wanted to, and they prayed for us every night.  I learned true love and service through them. I am determined to go home and to love others and serve people more becuase of their example. It was very hard to leave them. I didn't think I would love care connect with people so much, but  it happened. I am so thankful for them and will always hold them in a special place in my heart.
