All and all it has been a good week! I have been pretty busy and I really like it that way actually. God is good and I have to say that this week has been so blessed. I got to spend time with some friends, got to hang out w/ my crazy jr highers at church and disipleship, I had coffee and chatted with my grandma and helped my family with a garage sale.Something interesting that I learned this week is GOD ANSWERS PRAYER… He really does!First off praise report… I recieved a backpack and rain jacket from my uncle…. JUSTwhat I needed ; ) I was so excited when I opened the package I may or may not have squealed! I had tried on that pack with him at the REI store just a few weeks before and I never thought I would get it. I was planning on going back at some point and looking at more packs and buying one myself. The Lord totaly provides though it is so amazing!
Well like I said before, the Lord answers prayer… just not always how we would like it to be or how we think it should pan out…So… l have been praying for God to provide money for my trip and that I would get called in for more work, so what happens??? BAM! I get called in for more work starting this weekend and normally I would be like YES! awesome more work! Not this time. I was really bummed for at first but only because, my family is going to Mexico for a week for vacation/mission trip during this time I would be working. I have been excited about this Mexico trip for a while now, I had planned on going. I would of gotten to see a really good friend there, and I would of had some great quality time with my family. So needless to say I was pretty bummed. In my heart I knew it was the Lord though, and I needed to do it, so I called my boss back and told him I would be available. As soon as I did that my persepective changed. I realized what God was doing and the blessings of working and earning money and also being at home alone for a week with out all the crazy distractions. I will get some nice quiet time with the Lord to just be still and hear from Him.
In all this I have realized that when God interupts out plans its a blessing and privelege to have the God of the universe step in and redirect us. It is defenitely not convenient and not comfortable, but is is always the best way and it always ends up being worth while and better for us in the end!
