lice lice lice
For the last 2 months my head has been housing lots of these little "friends". Having lice is not so great in case you were wondering, and especially when your in an other country and in close community with many others who also have lice.I originally got lice in India where we were with kids everyday, who had lice, and the kids were always hugging climbing leaning and sitting on us. So really it's no shocker we got lice. I like to think of it as a badge of honor. It shows that I loved well and didn't hold back affection from these kids. Enough people have rejected them they don't need me as well pushing them away SO I am proud to say that is why I got lice . Now however, lice by no means is fun to have or easy to get rid of. For myself and my team, to rid ourselves of these little critters, we have: picked lice and nits of each others hair, put lard on our head and let it sit for 12 hours, covered our hair with different oils, washed our clothes and bed stuff, put things in plastic bags to kill lice and more. It is a very meticulous process and very humbling for everyone. See you need other people's help to get rid of lice, To pick stuff out of people hair, to ask someone to pick stuff out of your hair, to wash lard out of your hair. Something this whole ordeal has taught me is that it is ok to need help, and good to ask for help when you need it. I hate asking people everyday to pick stuff out of my hair. I am learning how to accept help from others and that people actually WANT to help me. In our Christian walk, its not just us and Jesus and that's it. God has created us for community. God tells us to bear each others burdens and to consider others higher that you consider yourself. It is a beautiful thing to see this fellowship and community lived how how the Lord intended it. I encourage you… ASK for help when you need it it. Asking doesn't make you less, it actually makes you stronger. Also, look for ways you can serve and bless those around you. It will not not only bless the other person but you will be blessed in the process.

Update:I have been meaning to post this for a while now but it just has not happened… sorry guys.
I am currently in Thailand right now… and lice free.. PRAISE the LAMB!
