The World Race: Month 12?
As most of you know, my globe trotting days now on a hiatus. But Kingdom journey adventure continues. In month 12 of this journey, I have been immeasurable blessed. I have a warm and loving home to return to. I have had minimal reverse culture shock. I have incredible friends, family and supporters who threw me a welcome home party and a season of rest with no expectations. My re-entry has been incredible and to top it off I have one more reunion with my squad at the end of this month as was normal while on the Race. What more could a Racer ask for?!
I have been able to share with groups and churches about my journey and have several more speaking engagements to be able to share what God has done and is doing. If you missed my talks, I have a video that is filled with snapshots of my travels, community life and ministry from this past year.
A common and logical question after those talks has been, “What’s next?”. Honestly, I don’t know. I have committed myself to a season of rest and processing for the month of September. And this month is quickly coming to a close. What I can tell people is that I want to make missions a lifestyle, not a charitable season or trip. I believe that will be a determining factor for what is coming next.
I can tell you I am seeking the Lord, investing myself in my home community and ministries, no differently than when I was on the Race. I look forward to sharing what the Lord is doing in my life and those around me as I seek out where I should invest my life in the future.
Thank you for your prayers and financial support over this past year. You have blessed me incredibly with emails, comments, facebook messages and letters. I know I am loved and supported and that enables me and encourages me to continue moving forward and “running the Race”. The Race isn’t not over. It’s just beginning.
