New year, new continent, new country and new team.

Meet team Eshet Chayil, which in Hebrew means “woman of valor”. 

Ashley Ganahl, Jenna Orabutt, Megan Connors, Melody Smith, Lindsey Ruff and me. 

 

Not much has changed except that Megan Spradley left to become a squad leader (of which we are so proud and excited for her!) and Ashley Ganahl has joined the five rest of us (and we are super excited to do life with her and get to know her better as she’s a pretty incredible person!) 

 

Our new continent: Asia. Our new country: Malaysia. Our new ministry: UH (Unsung Heroes). This month my team is UH, meaning we do not partner with a ministry, but we search the country for new contacts and ministries that the world race could potentially partner with, and send teams to in the future.

As a team we’ve made goals and visions and asked God for words and scripture for this new season together. Boldness, courage and strength were three key words. Going off of that was our goal to keep an open mind and be continually aware of the spiritual warfare going on around us. Another word was adventure, for us to seek out adventure and know that God can do much more than our dreams and dare us to dream bigger. We came up with a list of ten “impossible” prayers that we named ten possible prayers, believing of course that God can answer them! Colossians 2:6-10 was one of the verses we received, along with John 15, both talking about being rooted or abiding in Christ. “As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving…” “He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.” We’ve also decided to read through the book of Acts together as it’s full of miracles, and the Holy Spirit, and exciting things that God did through the church. We want to see these things still happen. To witness miracles. To let the Holy Spirit work through us. He’s ALIVE! Crazy things still happen if only we will just believe and allow the Holy Spirit to lead us into doing what He wants done. We’re ready to witness miracles and be part of a revival in Asia! Bring it on!
