So we just arrived in Myanmar. The people here seem amazing and it is so nice to be in a country that isn’t as westernized as the rest of the world. We started working with our ministry today and got to visit a village and market to share the gospel and testimonies of what Gods done in our lives. My understanding is that we will be working at an orphanage and be doing evangelism in the neighborhoods throughout this month.
… back to what God did the last few weeks in Thailand 🙂 he did many things there this is just one story (Below). I also grew a lot this month and will write another blog about that later. God did some cool ?? things !

This is P’lang she was the worker at my favorite crepe stand near our house. Throughout my time in Thailand I was able to give her high fives, hugs and a few encouraging words through some translators that were her friends from a nail salon. It was cool to see the Lord provide translators and see how a little love could go a long way. Over my time talking to her I learned a bit about her story. She was a single mom with two teenage boys who where getting into a lot of trouble. She cared about her boys a lot but had to work a lot and was unable to be around the because of work. She had also previously struggled with deep depression. She had just gotten this job a few months ago and expressed that she hopes to be able to make enough money sometime to help the homeless. She had a heart that was kind, compassionate and genuine. I really enjoyed getting to know her and was so thankful God had started to work in her life through what could be seen as a seemingly small interaction I had with her. Towards the end of our time in Thailand the Lord used one of my friends named One to translate for me and I was able to talk to her about about Gods love for her and invite her to church. She was interested, but was unable go because of work. One started to build relationship with her too. I was so happy that One got connected to her. One said that she would continue to hangout with P’lang and would try and help her get connected to the Christian English night school and a bible study. What was Kool was that even though I was leaving God provided a person to be able to follow up with her and continue to build relationship with her. I’m definitely believing that God will continue to work in P’lang’s life through my friend One and others that she comes in contact with. I just heard from One and Su and they said that they met with her today. If you could be praying for her that’d be awesome. Also if you could be praying that her boys would encounter the love of God, be set free of addiction and come to know him and his indescribable love for them that would be awesome!
Think about it: God opened doors in P’lang’s heart to him through simple high fives and hugs. God cares about street people, rich people, poor people, trafficked people etc and he will send us anywhere so that his children can encounter his love and hear the gospel. The gospel is good news! You may ask why? Answer: it brings us into a relationship with a livening God who longs to show us his love and bring healing to our hearts and give us a hope and a future with him. He will go to great lengths to bring his love to his children even in the darkest of places.
I encourage you to keep your eyes open for people, God may want you to even give a simple high five to someone on the walk to work every day. Stop and just talk to the homeless man or woman you pass and see what God does in their lives through these simple interactions. Many of these people are ignored daily are over looked etc. Just share the love God has planted in you through simple things and he will work wonders. Ask him for opportunities, he will give them to you 🙂
