Honduras is stinking beautiful.  The mountains, the fog, the flowers and Spanish architecture… just gorgeous.  You can’t help but fall in love with the beauty here.  Falling in love seems to be one of the themes here in Honduras.  I’ve been falling in love with God, I love him more and more everyday and I am experiencing him in new and deeply touching ways.  Jesus is becoming so real, so tangible, and I feel so authentically known by him.  He wakes me in the night with his overwhelming love like a lover waking his bride just to share his love for her.  It was so hard the first two weeks here, I was sick and struggling with the broken heart I have from the past.  The enemy tried to make me feel hopeless and left out, like God was too far from me to save me.  Our ministry is working with disabled adults, which is new and very challenging especially with the additional language barrier.  The men we serve need a lot of time, attention and energy, which I didn’t feel I had much of at first.  BUT GOD is not mocked, he has pursued me and I have bent my knee of my heart to allow him to heal the broken pieces of my heart; my squad has been fighting for me and I am walking in a victory I previously did not know was possible to have in my life.  I have love, joy and energy for the disabled men we serve and their staff; I am so happy to see them every day!  Their faces light up the moment we walk in their door!  We tell them they are loved by Jesus, take them on walks, play with them and help their Tias (the women who live in the houses and care for the 24/7) with tasks around the houses as they need them; sometimes they are so busy taking care of the guys that they don’t get a chance to shower or change themselves.  Sometimes the highlight of ministry is seeing our Tias got to take a shower and change clothes while we were walking the guys outside.  God is here in Honduras!  He has hands and feet here to carry on the work when we leave, the church is on the move and Christ has big plans for Honduras.  BIG PLANS!  I attended aa local church here on Sunday in Spanish, and the church was so friendly and welcoming!  They loved us because we were a part of the borderless church of Jesus!  I am in love!  Jesus fills me with his love, I am so excited to see what the next weeks have to hold!  Praise God he is already there moving obstacles.  Thank you so much for your continued support!
