My internship at Camp Hope has been a wonderful challenge.

For instance, this is a silly example but, I was asked to sing out loud, by myself, in front of the all the kids, volunteers, and staff in the classroom I was assigned to. My first thought was “umm no, I’m only comfortable singing in groups, and alone in the car or shower with the radio blasting”. But I did for the kids and they loved it! They did not care if I was out of tune, or if I knew all the words. What mattered to them was that I was singing and having fun with them(:

My vocal cords have been getting a serious workout since I now sing everyday! The kiddos love “Old McDonald”, “Father Abraham”, “Jesus Loves Me”, and “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star”.

My favorite part about singing to the class is their reaction! They will start smiling, giggling, waving their arms, and some will even sing with me, in English or Spanish.

To conclude my third blog, I would like to share a few photos taken at Camp Hope (descriptions will be above the photos) and say thank you so much for lifting me up in prayer because there will be more challenging days. God has been providing strength and endurance through the kiddos’ smiles and laughter, my supportive RC and housemates, and your powerful prayers.

Appreciating His wonderful challenges!

For Valentine’s Day we took some of the kids to the mall <3

We had a Bible study with all the kids and the teacher who I have been paired up with led the event (she never ceases to amaze me with her selfless personality).

Meet 3 out of the 4 Camp Hope interns(:

Waiting for our Valentine’s Day treat at the mall with the best view!

We love long walks around the camp!

She is my angel(: She is one of the students in my classroom and with her English knowledge, she helps me understand what the teachers are asking me to do.

My singing buddy(:
