Hola everyone! The days here go by really slow, but the week went by so fast. I was going to write out a long thing about what God has taught me this week, but I decided I’m going share my day yesterday with ya’ll because it’s funny and God taught me stuff through it HAHA! September 20th (yesterday) was an interesting day for me! I woke up and went to ministry and little did we know it was clean the community day. Bella Flor(our pastor for our ministry) asked Cierra and I to go around and pick up trash. We were almost done, but of course there’s more. There was a trash pile with food, trash, maggots, flies, ants and much more. This was down a big hill by the river that runs through the community. Cierra was not a fan of that (LOL I wasn’t either but one of us had to), so I was the chosen one to go down there and clean it. Let’s just say, maggots on your feet aren’t pleasing! It honestly took me a while to eat because I had absolutely no appetite at all. I think the funniest part of this whole thing was how much the kids laughed at me with the noises and faces I was making! Alex is a doll and came to join me and the rest of the team were amazing cheerleaders cheering us on while we were being laughed at and while we were picking up things I honestly didn’t even know existed. If you know me at all you would know that a week ago I didn’t do bugs, but my friends, if things like this keep happening, I will be a pro LOL! The only good thing about all of this is 1) I got to help the community and 2) the beautiful gift of humor the Lord has provided me with help me laugh it off! I am so excited to continue having many more days where I am confused as to why I’m here because through it all God’s grace always comes through!
